Great Waltham

Our clients in Great Waltham brought us a bathroom in a Grade II listed house — irregular angles, sloping ceilings, skylights, and a split-level entrance — and a vision for something softer than the usual white bathroom. We designed and supplied the room through our bathroom design service for Chelmsford, and their fitters — chosen from our recommended network — brought it to life.

The palette does the talking: blush-pink walls against sage green tiles from Ca' Pietra — vertical stacked walls, a fishscale-lined shower niche and splashback, and a soft stone-look floor — with brushed brass carrying warmth through every fixture, right down to the stair nosing on the split-level entry.

A D-shaped bath sits beneath the skylights, and the walk-in shower pairs a brass rain head with an Elisa smart shower control. A curved painted vanity with a stone top and illuminated mirror anchors the far wall, with Roper Rhodes and Calypso in the specification.

A traditional brass towel warmer above the bath completes a room that feels collected rather than fitted — every awkward angle of the listed building turned into character, and every little detail thought of, exactly as the brief asked.
