Luxury Shower Room

This is a shower room in a period cottage on The Street in Gosfield — a room with a sloping ceiling, a leaded window, and none of the square corners a bathroom designer would ask for. Rather than fight the shape, the design leans into it: dark, glossy walls that make the angles read as drama instead of awkwardness.

The walls are Ca' Pietra Marble Luxe porcelain in Laurant, a black marble look shot through with copper and white veining, run in 60×120cm sheets so the pattern carries across the room with very few joints. A softer grey marble-effect porcelain on the floor stops the room closing in.

Three niches are stacked into the wall opposite the shower, each one lined with the same black porcelain and lit with a warm-white strip, so the veining glows rather than disappears. A concrete-grey vessel basin from HiB sits on a stone shelf above an oak-effect drawer unit, with a fluted gunmetal tap set into the wall behind it and a demisting mirror cabinet from Roper Rhodes above.

The walk-in shower runs off a Tissino graphite slate tray with a gunmetal wetroom panel, and the wall-hung WC is carried on a Crosswater frame with a slate flush plate. The whole room was planned through our bathroom design service in Braintree, about fifteen minutes down the road.
