This upstairs shower room is one half of a two-bathroom project in a Chelmsford CM2 home — designed and specified together with the family bathroom downstairs so the whole house shares one calm, considered palette.

Sloping ceilings can make an upstairs bathroom feel tight; here they became the room's character. Calypso fitted furniture in a soft stone finish runs under the eaves, turning the awkward angles into a full wall of storage, while a fluted glass screen and a dark slate-look feature wall give the shower real drama.

Matt black brassware from Crosswater and JTP carries the theme through tap, shower, and towel rail, with Tissino in the mix and Warmup underfloor heating keeping the tiled floor warm year-round.
