AXOR ShowerHeaven: water, light and space

The long 1200/300 opens above you to deliver four water zones, while lit versions and a choice of finishes make the fitting one of the room’s main design features.
The shape and presence overhead
The 1200/300 is a long, narrow ceiling fitting with four adjustable wings that open manually. When closed, the head has a relatively simple rectangular outline; opening the wings changes its shape above the showering position.
The long shape works particularly well when the shower enclosure, ceiling or tiling already has a clear direction. It can look awkward if it has simply been centred on the tray without considering how the shower will be used.
The water experience
The 1200/300 uses four water zones but three spray types: PowderRain, Rain and MonoRain. The inner and outer PowderRain areas account for two of those zones, with Rain and MonoRain providing the other two.
AXOR describes PowderRain as millions of micro-fine droplets. The fine droplet pattern is distinct from the broader coverage of Rain and the concentrated MonoRain stream.
On the lit Chrome 1200/300, product code 12427000, the zones can be used individually or combined. AXOR gives a maximum flow of 21 litres per minute at 3 bar, although the individual zone figures differ.
This is what separates ShowerHeaven from an ordinary large shower head. You can change the way the water reaches you, rather than simply switching one broad spray on and off.
AXOR also specifies QuickClean, which allows limescale deposits to be rubbed from the shower nozzles. That makes routine cleaning easier, but it doesn’t remove the need to maintain a large overhead fitting.
Finishes that change its presence
The finish matters more here than it would on a small shower head. At 1200mm long, the fitting becomes one of the largest pieces of visible metal in the room.
Chrome 12427000 is the cleanest choice if you want the ShowerHeaven to sit with chrome brassware, cooler stone or a restrained white and grey scheme.
Brushed Bronze 12427140 has a warmer, softer appearance. We’d normally consider it with warmer stone, timber cabinetry or other bronze fittings rather than using it as a single isolated metal on the ceiling.
Polished Black Chrome 12427330 is darker and more reflective. It can work well where the room already has strong dark details, but it will attract more attention overhead than Chrome or a brushed finish.
The linked product codes are 3500 K versions; the chrome photograph shows a version without lighting. Finish availability varies by product code, so don’t assume that every ShowerHeaven size, light temperature and finish can be combined.
Integrated light
The lighting is part of the selected model, not an adjustable warm-to-cool setting.
The 1200/300 model 12427000 has a 3500 K neutral-white light. The related Chrome model 12423000 uses a cooler 5000 K module. They are separate products.
The square 970/970 and 720/720 examples use warmer 2700 K lighting. We’d compare that colour temperature with the mirror light, ceiling lighting, stone and metal finishes before ordering. A warm stone and bronze scheme may suit 2700 K or 3500 K, while 5000 K gives a noticeably cooler, whiter light.
Comparing the three ShowerHeaven models
These are representative models with integrated lighting. They aren’t evidence that every size is offered with the same sprays, finish or light.

The two square models use RainAir rather than PowderRain. AXOR’s AirPower technology mixes air into the water to produce fuller, lighter drops. And although the 720/720 is physically smaller, its listed maximum flow is higher than the 970/970. It isn’t the lower-demand option.
Practical planning before ordering
Water supply
Pressure and available flow need to be assessed separately because the manufacturer’s figures don’t prove that a model will work properly in your property. Your fitter should check the dynamic supply at the shower, hot-water capacity, pipe sizes, simultaneous demand and drainage capacity. The square models also require a high-flow thermostat and controls for three outlets.
Ceiling, support and concealed parts
The ceiling plan should show the 1200/300 with its wings open so its position can be checked against the screen, controls and where you’ll stand. The fitting needs suitable support and future access. The lit 1200/300 requires the separate AXOR basic set 12922180, with installation by a qualified fitter and electrician working from the current instructions.
What the quotation should include
A proper quotation should identify the exact ShowerHeaven product code, finish and light temperature, together with the required basic set, controls, thermostat and diverter. It should also set out responsibility for the ceiling support, plumbing, electrical work, maintenance access and drainage, so you can see whether anything has been left for your fitter to provide.
Our view
ShowerHeaven is most worthwhile for someone who will genuinely use the different water zones. If you mainly want one broad overhead spray, we’d look at a simpler shower head.
