Bathroom Room Types
Choose the right layout for your home. From family bathrooms to luxury wet rooms, each room type has its own priorities for comfort, function, and finish.
How to choose the right bathroom room type
Choosing the right room type is less about trends and more about how the space is used day to day. Household routines, available space, plumbing realities, and long-term durability all shape the most practical starting point.
There is no single "best" option, only the best fit for how you live. Each room type exists to solve a different problem.
- Family bathroom - shared use, storage, resilience
- Ensuite - privacy, luxury, calm
- Guest ensuite - efficiency, comfort, ease
- Shower room - speed, waterproofing, function
- Wet room - access, tanking, level floors
- Cloakroom - compact impact, statement design

Bathroom Room Types FAQs Questions
Common questions about choosing the right bathroom type
The best first step is to visit our showroom in Braintree. Walk around, see what catches your eye, and have a chat with us about your space. There is no obligation and no pressure — most people come two or three times before they are ready.
It depends on the room. A cloakroom might start around £2,500 for products, a family bathroom from £6,000, and a large master ensuite can reach £30,000 or more. Installation is always quoted separately. Our price guide breaks it down by room type so there are no surprises.
We do everything except the physical building work. We design your bathroom, specify every product, order it, check it, and deliver it to your home. For installation, you can use your own builder or choose from our approved network — either way, we stay involved through the whole build. See how installation works.
Of course. We have a growing portfolio of completed projects across Essex — family bathrooms, master ensuites, wet rooms, cloakrooms. Each one shows what was chosen, why, and how it turned out.
Some of our favourite projects are compact spaces. A small room does not mean you have to settle — it just means the design matters more. We specialise in making small bathrooms, shower rooms, and cloakrooms feel bigger and work harder than you would expect.
It depends on you. Some clients know exactly what they want and we can have everything designed, specified, and ordered within a few days. Others like to take their time, visit the showroom a few times, and think it over — that is completely fine too. On average, the design and ordering phase takes 2 to 6 weeks, then delivery is around 4 to 6 weeks after that. Installation depends on your builder and the size of the job. We work at whatever pace suits you. See the full process.
